Love this song.
Today I went to local primary school spring fete with mum. We visited a room selling old knickknacks and clothes; I bought a book on personal strengths and a pack of "Princess Bride" playing cards. We spent some time viewing prizes at a silent auction, we had veggie burgers for lunch, followed by Devenshire tea and scones with jam & cream... before mum went back to see if she won what she bidded for, while I made my very own bracelet out of beads to commemorate my birthday. <3
Had a lovely time seeing everything.
Hi 2024 ^_^
Been a while since I last updated. Lemme see what resolutions I can find hiding in my bookshelf. For 2024; - To learn about toxic positivity (goal achieved thanks to listening to an ABC Listen podcast last night :D ). - To be more reflective when things go wrong (thank you introverted gut... -_-; ) - To be mindful and grateful for having a happy microbiome again (Overloading the "second brain" with cheese, Christmas meats and mint choc slice sure didn't help over my 2-week break from work...) I guess that's all the goals I set for the New Year so far. ^^
Scents of smell-abilities
Since spring is almost here, the changing atmosphere has inspired me to use color and functionality for my little garden. Not only that, I'm feeling less drab over cold winter chills on work mornings since the sun comes up brighter in recent days, and I'm coming home to the strong scent of full-blooming daffodils from my backyard  . New flowering buds have started popping up on my cherry tree; a sign spring is on its way~! ^^ Writing progress for Dewprism fanfics; Been intrigued to use smells to add immersion to scene descriptions. Some scents that have been prominent on my mind this week are creamy vanilla, sweet lavender, spicy cinnamon, and burning firewood. A special treat I've discovered from my local supermarket is ice-cream mochi in 6 yummy flavors. ;p New favorite one is chocolate.
A thought: Procrastination
I'm sitting here in my study chair, listening to the almost-quiet whir of my computer, when I came across an article covering burnout symptoms. How odd. :O_o: It's like the universe knows what's up with me... Maybe it's the winter air and dark morning skies chilling my inner being when I head off to work... The weather has been rainy this morning too. Instead of feeling glum about the recent weather, I'm going to seek out more psych and philosophy books to read, listen to podcasts and immersive music, put on more layers, and take down notes for later reading over Daily thought that sprang out of the mud today is one I remember from long ago, after reading a book on perspective experiments that were designed to stimulate the way someone thinks. Dunno if this is how the saying is said, so here goes; 'Books are like prostitutes, each one is begging you to read them.' If anyone knows this saying, you may correct me. ;p
