Tiny hands wrap around his pinky finger
For the first time, her eyes open...
Revealing irises of warm, dark chocolate
The color deep and soulful like her father's.

A mop of hair covers her whole head
In little fiery strands
The shade like pink cherry blossoms
Been thrown under an orange-red sunset
That beautiful hue received from her mother.

Two sets of eyes look down at her
In awe, wonder and amazement
As they drink in the sight and sounds
Of life in their baby girl
Warmly encased in a green blanket.

Although things aren't all as they seem
For she may look like a normal, healthy kid
One can easily overlook...
The small, shining pale pink diamond
Embedded right in her forehead.

The unique birthmark, small in size
Glowing a brilliant blue and gold
Easily draws in unwanted stares
Just like her father once went through.

But the ones who made her didn't care
She was still their daughter
And finally, a name comes to mind...

"May your beauty flow forever and a day.
Our precious little girl..."
